Rock by the Sea, Inc to host 10th annual charity music festival and golf tournament benefitting Music as a Second Language and Camp Sunshine



St. George Island, Fla. — Rock by the Sea (RBTS), a charity music festival, returns to St. George Island for its 10th annual fall event benefiting various organizations. This year’s events will take place fromSeptember 20-23, 2018 and will include live music from multiple artists and a golf tournament.

“We are excited to return to St. George Island for our 10th annual Rock by the Sea Lite event,” said Rock by the Sea’s President, Beth Gosnell. “With the proceeds made from donations and ticket sales, we are able to support organizations that continue to help those in need around us.”

All proceeds from Rock by the Sea Lite will support The McKnight Brain Instutute for brain cancer research, The Franklin County Public Library Music and Reading Programs, Music as a Second Language, and Camp Sunshine summer camp for children living with cancer.

Rock by the Sea Lite will begin this Thursday, September 20 and bands will play throughout the weekend. A schedule of the weekend can be found at https://rockbythesea.org/schedule and all performances will take place at Harry A’s on St. George Island. American Idol contestant, Christian Lopez will be joined by Rock by the Sea returning musicians, Steve Everett, and The Currys as well as many other musicians.

The golf tournament, Rock by the Tee, will tee-off on Friday, September 21 at 9 a.m. at St. James Bay Golf Resort. Players will enjoy a challenging, championship course and will have the opportunity to play alongside some of Rock by the Sea Lite musicians.

A three-day weekend pass for Rock by the Sea Lite is $125 per person which gives full access and admission to all performances at Harry A’s Restaurant. Tickets for the golf tournament are $125 per person and a Hole Sponsorship is $100. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Franklin County Public Library Music and Reading Programs, Music as a Second Language, and Camp Sunshine summer cam for children with cancer.
