Franklin County did not close the beaches today but the commission did close all of the public beach parking areas.

Franklin County did not close the beaches today but the commission did close all of the public beach parking areas. That includes the parking area at the lighthouse, and all of the beach access points on the island. It also includes the Carrabelle beach parking area. All beach state parks have been closed till further notice including St. George Island, Bald Point and the park at Cape San Blas. Beaches in Gulf County have also been closed.
