I arrived in 1991 from rural Vermont and fell in love with the history, beauty, solitude and people of Apalachicola. Having always been in retail in one form or another I set to work restoring an unused building at 14 Avenue D. I chose kitchen, garden, home and gourmet as my focus, all of my interests rolled into one. Opening in 1994, I searched high and low for unique, functional, fun and affordable merchandise for Betsy’s and I’m still at it today in my most recent location in the High Cotton Building on Water Street!
