Congressman Neal Dunn has announced that the 2020 Congressional Art Competition is underway for the Second Congressional District.
This competition is open to all high school students, grades 9-12. For schools that house grades k-12 or 6-12, this competition will be open to grades 7-12. There is no specific theme for this year’s competition, however, there are specific guidelines for the size of the artwork as well as the medium in which the art is done. Note: artwork entries do not need to be framed. Only the winner’s artwork will need to be framed at the conclusion of the competition. Please review the attached rules and guidelines for these specifics or visit our website at: https://dunn.house.gov/art-competition
This year we will be receiving artwork submissions electronically. Students who wish to participate in this competition must submit high resolution photos of their artwork and a signed student release form to the following email address: FL02ArtSubmissions@gmail.com.
The deadline for artwork submissions is May 25, 2020 at 11:59PM ET.
The first place winning art piece will be put on display in the Cannon Tunnel to the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, DC for one year. The first place winner and their chosen guest will also have the opportunity of traveling to Washington, D.C. to attend the Congressional Art Competition Reception on July 22, 2020. The second and third place winning pieces will be put on display in either Congressman Dunn’s Tallahassee District Office or Panama City District Office.
