With an underside full of flailing legs and claws and a long pointy tail, these scary looking creatures are common in our coastal waters and crawl out of our shallow seas to lay their eggs. They have made themselves at home in our oceans for over 450 million years and crawled over the bottom of many ancient oceans. Now they provide us with a valuable compound for detecting bacteria and their copper based blue blood has made them the aristocrats of modern medicine.
Join us this Friday, April 24th at 11AM ONLY from our Facebook page to learn more about these alien looking but harmless animals. We will be having a LIVE Q&A session so send in any questions you have about these ancient arthropods!
Sincerely,
