The Franklin County Commission will
meet tomorrow morning and have a few important issues to discuss.
One item will be the possible partial
reopening of local beaches.
Beaches in Gulf and Wakulla Counties
have already been reopened at least for a few hours every day so
Franklin County commissioners will discuss if they want to do the
same.
A bigger issue is the future of Weems
Memorial Hospital.
The Hospital Board of Directors is
expected to recommend that the county move forward with discussions
with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and Alliant Management Services to manage the hospital.
Alliant is a Louisville, Kentucky based
management company specializing in small rural and critical access
hospitals.
Other items on the agenda include
approval for the construction of a multi-use path at Alligator Point,
advertising for a new worker at the Emergency Management Office and
the award of a contract to design a new Emergency Management Office.
