More businesses in Florida will be able to reopen today and some businesses, like restaurants will be able to allow more people in their doors

More businesses in Florida will be able to reopen today and some businesses, like restaurants will be able to allow more people in their doors.

Governor Ron Desantis announced Friday that non-essential businesses like gyms can re-open starting today provided they stay at 50 percent capacity and self-sanitize machines and surfaces after use.

Restaurants and retail stores that were operating at 25 percent capacity are now able to increase to 50 percent as can museums and libraries.

Vacation rental homes will also be allowed to reopen provided they get state approval.

Each county has to provide vacation-rental reopening plans to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which will have to sign off on the proposals.

Franklin County has submitted its plan to the state and are waiting to see if it is approved.

The full text of the reopening plan is available at oysterradio.com.
