Short term rentals in most Northwest
Florida counties have been given the go-ahead to reopen just before
Memorial Day weekend.
That includes short term rentals in
Franklin and Gulf Counties.
Rental homes were allowed to reopen in
phase 1 of Florida's plan to restart its economy, provided that each
county provide a detailed plan on how it would protect guests from
the spread of COVID-19.
That plan then had to be approved by
the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Franklin County submitted its plan last
week, and received approval to reopen on Tuesday as did every other
coastal county between Franklin and Escambia counties.
Franklin County's plan for reopening
includes a ban on renting to overseas travelers during the first
phase, or to any person who lives in an area with substantial
community spread of COVID-19.
The plan also includes detailed
instructions on how the renal homes will be cleaned including
everything from the types of cleaning agents that can be used to what
type of protection house cleaners have to use while working.

reopening plan for short term rentals at oysterradio.com and on the
