SEE YOU THERE!!                                              KITTENS! The second wave of kitten season is in full swing here at the Humane Society. We have dozens of beautiful, sweet and social kittens waiting to be adopted. Here is an example of the extreme cuteness we are dealing with every day. Come meet our irresistible babies and adopt one for $75.00 and we will waive the adoption fee for the second kitten.  Now's the purrfect time to add some fluff to your family! Annual Florida Seafood Festival The 58th Annual Florida Seafood Festival is scheduled to be held at Battery Park in Apalachicola on November 5th and 6th.  The Humane Society will be in attendance on Saturday, November 6th.  We will be located next to the back entrance and will have dogs and cats available for adoption as well as T-shirts and merchandise available for a donation. We are looking forward to seeing everyone especially after the cancellation of last years event.  Be sure to swing by our booth to get some puppy and kitty love and to say hello! WHERE ARE THEY NOW? On August 9th these 7 puppies were left in our drop pen.  The information that was left stated that they had been found in Tate's Hell Forest and the people who found them brought them to us.  They were in deplorable condition as you can see.  They had head to toe mange, ringworm, intestinal parasites and were starving.  We brought them in and they began the long road to recovery. It took us many weeks to get them to the point that we could make them available for adoption but finally, they were healthy enough and looked good enough to post them as adoptable.  All but two have been adopted and we are now in search of homes for the remaining two. Jessie (f) and Jed (m) are the last remaining Tate's Hell pups. They are now 4 months old and feeling and looking great! Jed and Jessie both guard their food and treats. They should be the only dog in the household and the home should have no children under 14. They are both fine around food with an adult. These two are very intelligent and love people.  They will make wonderful pets in the right home. They are German Shepherd/Lab mixes.
