Franklin County is considering purchasing some land in Eastpoint across from the Eastpoint boat ramp and waterfront park.
The parcel is 104 feet wide and 241 feet long and reaches from Highway 98 to Patton Drive.
The property has been listed for about 6 months; it is appraised at 199 thousand dollars.
If the buyer accepts the county’s offer it would be paid for by the County’s Tourist Development Council.
