If you are not yet registered to vote in the November elections you need to do it ASAP

If you are not yet registered to vote in the November elections you need to do it ASAP.

October 11th, which is next Tuesday, is the last day for new registrations and party changes before the November 8th General Election.

There is only one local race, and that is for County commission District 4 between Incumbent Smokey Parrish and Ottice Amison.
The Franklin County School District has two issues on the ballot including one that would levy a half cent sales tax.

If the measure is approved by voters it would raise about 1.3 million dollars a year for the school district, about 300 thousand of that would be shared with the Apalachicola Bay Charter School.

We will also vote for US Senate, US Representative, Governor, state Attorney General, Chief Financial Officer, and commissioner of Agriculture.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th, Early Voting Begins on Monday, October 24th and ends on Saturday, November 5th.
