Do you want to serve? Wakulla County is currently seeking three (3) citizens who have a willingness to serve as members on the Code Enforcement Board to fill two (2) vacant positions and one (1) anticipated vacancy. These positions will be for two (2) regular members and one (1) alternate member. The membership of the Code Enforcement Board shall be residents of the County; and whenever possible, consist of an architect, a business person, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, a realtor, and another citizen. These positions are on a volunteer basis only and the members would have the responsibility of being present at each scheduled Code Enforcement Meeting beginning January 2023. These meetings typically occur on the second Wednesday of every other month at 5:30p.m. Citizens wishing to serve as a member should submit a cover letter explaining their interest in serving on the Code Enforcement Board and provide a resume or other statement of relevant experience which includes the person’s name, address, telephone number, and email addressno later than Monday, November 7, 2022.

Notice of Public Meetings or Rescheduled Meetings:
The Wakulla County Recreation Advisory Committee will hold a Public Meeting on October 24, 2022, at 4 p.m. at the Wakulla County Community Center (Sopchoppy Room), 318 Shadeville Rd., Crawfordville, FL 32327. Purpose of Meeting: To provide feedback to the Board of County Commissioners, County staff, and the Recreation Director relating to the recreational programs of the Wakulla County Recreation Department.
The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners meeting originally scheduled for November 21, 2022, has been rescheduled for November 22, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers, 29 Arran Rd, Crawfordville, FL, 32327. Purpose of Meeting: To Consider a Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Acquisition of Property at 1825 Woodville Highway for Future Potential Use as a Fire/EMS Station.

Ribbon Cutting for The Hot Spot
Friends, family and chamber members participated in The Hot Spot Ribbon Cutting & Open House, Thursday, October 13. The Hot Spot is located at 3 High Drive in Crawfordville, serving Lucky Goat coffee creations, breakfast items, soups and salads and new lunch items will be added for rotation. The Hot Spot is open Monday - Friday from 6:30am - 2pm; Saturday and Sunday from 8 am - 2pm.
Ed2Go online training is made possible by the generous contributions from local businesses and individuals to the Burt Poole Scholarship fund, to help you succeed in business. Classes are free to our members and employees (other classes not listed here may be available with a co-pay).
