Franklin County Commissioners have agreed to use some county paving dollars to repave a road in the City of Carrabelle.
The county agreed to provide about 74 thousand dollars from District 2 Commissioner Cheryl Sanders’ paving funds to complete their resurfacing of portions of 5th Street.
Commissioner Sanders said the project is important as that street has terrible drainage, but provides necessary access to the Carrabelle Clinic and the Health Department.
District 5 Commissioner Jessica Ward, who also represents a portion of Carrabelle said she thinks it is important to keep a good working relationship with the city and says she may provide some paving assistance to city roads in her district in the future.
