Governor Ron DeSantis on Monday named Chris Bufano to serve as Liberty County judge.
Bufano replaces Judge Kenneth Hosford, who retired earlier this year during a judicial misconduct investigation.
Bufano has served as a Deputy General Counsel for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement since 2022.
Before that, he served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit which includes Brevard and Seminole Counties.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University and his juris doctorate from Widener University Delaware Law School.
