4 Days of Independence Day Celebrations on the Forgotten Coast

Join Franklin County as we celebrate America's 250th birthday over four consecutive days. The celebrations will take place in Eastpoint, Carrabelle, Apalachicola, and St. George Island, and all events are free to the public. Come enjoy the music, fun, and fireworks! We would also like to extend our gratitude to all the organizations and their sponsors for making this an amazing week in Franklin County.

The celebrations begin in Eastpoint with the 4th annual Freedom Festival on July 1st. The event kicks off at 4 PM with music and entertainment at the Eastpoint Boat Ramp, hosted by the Eastpoint Civic Association. With a Grand Fireworks show happening at 9:00 pm.

On Thursday, July 2nd in Carrabelle, the celebration continues with a 6:00 pm parade through downtown, followed by a fireworks show over the Carrabelle River, hosted by the City of Carrabelle.


The Apalachicola July 3rd Waterfront Celebration will be held on Friday, July 3rd, at Riverfront Park. With Music, Food, and Fun beginning at 5:00 pm, with a wonderful Fireworks Show over the Apalachicola River at dark, hosted by the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce.


The Red, White & Blue Golf Cart Parade begins at 6:30 pm at Lafayette Park, ending at Riverfront Park, and is brought to you by the Franklin County Property Appraiser's Office.

Closing out the 4 days of celebrations is the SGI July 4th Wet & Wild Parade. Lineup begins at 10:30 am, with the parade kicking off at 11:00 am.


Followed by a Grand Fireworks Show over the Gulf. The Fireworks are brought to you by the Blue Parrot.
