Three injured in Friday night car crash
Three people were seriously injured last Friday night in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 98 in Carrabelle. 47 year old Sherry Jean Bearden of Chunchula, Alabama was driving a 2004 Hyundai north on 12th Street about 8:20 p.m. when she failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 98. Police say she had been drinking. She drove into the path of a 2000 Subaru driven by 47 year old Donald William Rogers of Crawfordville, which was traveling west on Highway 98. Bearden and a passenger, Raymond Herrera of Carrabelle, were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. A passenger in Rogers’ vehicle, Deonna Crowe of Crawfordville, also was taken to TMH with serious injuries. Rogers had minor injuries. Charges against Sherry Bearden are pending the outcome of the investigation.
