One of North Florida’s oldest festivals takes place this Saturday in Panacea. The 36th annual Panacea Blue Crab Festival will be held at Woolley Park on Dickerson Bay.
The festival began in 1975 to promote Wakulla County’s blue crab industry.
Saturday’s festival includes a parade, a mullet toss, and crab picking competition as well as arts and crafts booths and fireworks. The Mountain Dew cloggers will perform as will the Rick Ott Band, Coon Bottom Creek, Wilson Dean, the Brett Kelley Band and the Sarah Mac Band.
The festival begins at 10 AM, the cost is 3 dollars per person to get into the park.
