A Swimming advisory is in effect this week at Carrabelle beach.
The Florida Department of Health says they found moderate levels of bacteria in water samples taken from Carrabelle Beach this week – this is the 5th week of the advisory. It’s the only swimming advisory in Franklin County this week – there was also moderate levels of bacteria found at Alligator Point, but not in high enough concentrations to require a swimming advisory.
Both beaches in Wakulla County are under swimming advisories this week – that includes Mash’s Island and Shell Point.
There were no swimming advisories issued for Gulf County this week.
