Four injured in Wakulla County accident

Four Crawfordville residents were injured in a two car accident in Wakulla County Wednesday, one critically.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon when a Chevy van driven by 30 year old Jason Clay Lott drove on to the shoulder of the road. While trying to get back into his lane, Lott over-corrected, turning across the southbound lane and onto the northbound lane and shoulder right into the path of a Ford SUV driven by 60 year old Millie Hilliard.

The two vehicles collided head on.

Mister Lott, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was critically injured in the collision. Miss Hilliard received serious injuries as did two passengers in the SUV.

All four were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Mister Lott is facing charges of careless driving.
