The U.S. Small Business Administration has opened Business Recovery Centers in Apalachicola and Port St. Joe to help small businesses and most private non-profit organizations affected by the Deepwater BP Oil Spill.
The Centers are located at the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce office located at 122 Commerce Street in Apalachicola and at the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce office 150 Captain Fred’s Place in port St. Joe.
The centers are open from Monday through Saturday from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon.
Eligible small businesses in the affected areas may qualify for Economic Injury Disaster Loans up to $2 million.
Interest rates are 3 percent for non-profit organizations and 4 percent for businesses with terms up to 30 years.
