If you are traveling this Thanksgiving holiday make sure to buckle up.
The Highway Patrol is currently taking part in the Click It or Ticket campaign where they focus on drivers who are not using their seat belts.
The campaign began Sunday and will continue through November 30th.
Florida’s law requires all drivers and adult occupants in the front seat of a vehicle to fasten their safety belt.
Occupants under the age of 18, regardless of where they sit in a vehicle, also must buckle up.
Motorists cited for failure to buckle up face a non-moving violation that carries a $30 base fine, plus court costs if convicted.
