Today is the deadline to apply for an emergency advance payment because of the BP oil spill.
An Emergency Advance Payment is for people or businesses that are experiencing financial hardship now because of damages incurred during the spill.
The Emergency Advance Payments are made quickly, but any money you get will be deducted from any final claim payment you receive.
Even of you don’t make get your application in for an emergency advance payment you can still file a claim against BP – you just might not get paid very quickly if its approved.
People have up to three years to file claims against the company.

That office is open from 8 till 7, seven days a week.
