Boil water notice in effect in Highland View
The boil water notice that has been in effect in Port St. Joe since Tuesday has been partially rescinded.
The boil water notice has been lifted for the most of the city including Overstreet, Beacon Hill, St. Joe Beach, White City and Port St. Joe.
It remains in effect for Highland View, Windmark beach and the portion of Highway 98 between Highland View and Windmark Beach – people in that area should continue to bring their water to a rolling boil for 1 minute before using it for cooking or drinking.
That area remains under the boil water notice because of a line break on Marlin Street.
The break has been fixed but the water department has to wait for the results from bacteriological tests before lifting the boil water notice.
If you have any questions you cal call the Port St. Joe Water Department at 229-6395.
