Brown named to ARPC

County Commissioners have named a Carrabelle City Commission to represent Apalachicola and Carrabelle on the Apalachee Regional Planning Council.
Carrabelle commissioner Jim Brown was named after he was the only commissioner to express an interest in the appointment.
The Apalachee Regional Planning Council works with local governments to cooperate on regional issues acting as a bridge between state and local governments.
The Apalachee Regional Planning Council covers 9 counties including Franklin, Gulf, Liberty and Wakulla Counties.
To be part of the council, each county must send one representative from the county commission and one from a city within the county.
The county commission will send District 1 commissioner Pinki Jackel as the Franklin County Commission representative.
