Two arrested for selling crack cocaine

On Tuesday, July 5, 2011, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, along with members of the uniform patrol division, conducted a drug investigation in the Carrabelle area of Franklin County. The investigation resulted in the arrest of two individuals for sale and possession of “Crack Cocaine.

Derick Menual Ahrent, age 22 of 1209 Southern Drive, Tallahassee, Florida, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with the intent to Distribute; Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ahrent is also on bond for previous charges of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Child Abuse.  He is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail.

Ricardo Rivera, age 26, of 17 Lilly Lane, Crawfordville, Florida, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance; Tampering with Physical Evidence; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Felony Probation. Rivera is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail.
