A linebacker with ties to Franklin County will soon be playing for Jacksonville on Sundays.
Former Florida Atlantic linebacker Michael Lockley was signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent
He is the nephew of Franklin County commission chairman Noah Lockley.
He was a second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection recording 120 tackles last season and blocked kicks.As a junior, he finished with 97 tackles despite missing three games with an illness.
He’s also pretty strong.
The National Football Post says Michael Lockley can bench pressed 225 pounds 22 times and can squat 600 pounds six times.
