Its tough being a commercial fisherman

Commercial fishermen once again have the most dangerous job in America.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, commercial fishermen are killed on the job at a rate of 116 deaths for every 100 thousand fishermen.
That’s quite a bit higher than the next most dangerous job which is logging.
The death rate in that job is 91.9 for every 100 thousand pilots.
Pilots round out the top three most dangerous jobs at 70.6 deaths for every 100 thousand workers.
The average for jobs across the United States is just 3.5 deaths for every 100 thousand workers.
Numerically, the occupation that produced the most deaths in 2010 was the construction industry.
780 workers died in construction accidents in 2010.
And last year was a good year for the safety of American Workers.
4,547 people died on the job last year; that’s slightly fewer than in 2009, and the lowest on record since the BLS began tracking this information in 1992.
Texas had the highest number of fatalities per state at 482.
California recorded 409 and Florida ranked third with 245.
