Media Advisory – 2012 St. George Island Chili Cook-off
On Saturday, March 3rd, 2012, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) along with the St. George
Island Volunteer Fire Department, Alcohol Beverage & Tobacco (ABT), Florida Highway Patrol (FHP),
Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the St. George
Island Community Patrol provided Law Enforcement, Security and Traffic Control for the 30th Annual St.
George Island Chili Cook-off.
Sheriff Skip Shiver and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all agencies involved in
the operation for their assistance and cooperation. Sheriff Shiver would also like to give a special thanks
to the volunteers of the St. George Island Patrol for their continued dedication and assistance.
The following is a total of Medical Incidents, citations and arrest recorded during the event.
