Franklin County Commission meets on Tuesday

The Franklin County commission meets tomorrow in Apalachicola.

There’s not a lot on the agenda – the board will get a hospital update from Cindi Drapel.

The commission will also hear presentations from various groups interested in leasing the new corporate hangar at the Franklin County- Apalachicola airport.

The board will have a discussion about a possible new county parking ordinance that could make it easier for law enforcement to ticket people who park on county right of ways.

The board tabled the issue last month, but felt they should hear from the sheriff’s department on the need for the ordinance before deciding how to move forward on the issue.

They will also get an update on the county jail and open bids to replace the air conditioning condenser at the Franklin county Courthouse.

County Commission meetings are open to the public so if you would like to attend tomorrow’s meeting – it begins at 9 AM at the Franklin county Courthouse Annex.
