Subject: Update as of Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:30 AM

Tropical storm Isaac is currently located 1,100 miles away at this
time on the north west coast of Haiti, the storm appears to be getting
better organized.

A good cluster of rain & storms are expected on the east side of the
storm, rains are expected to begin here on Monday afternoon into the
evening (about 63 hours)

A 10% chance of hurricane force winds are expected for this area
within the next 3-5 days

By Tuesday morning a  5-9 foot surge is expected for this area which
is more of the type of surge that was experienced during Dennis, at
this time it is expected that the storm will be updated to a hurricane

There is a high impact of flooding expected with this storm, the
amount of rain that is expected could be from 15-20 inches beginning
here late Monday afternoon into the night

The current water temperature is 85 - 86 degrees which will most
likely strengthen the storm

Emergency Operations Center expects to start partial activation
beginning Sunday morning, extending to full activation as needed

Beginning Monday morning forward at this time we will start planning
for a Category 1 hurricane however we are being advised to prepare for
a category 2 late Tuesday into Wednesday

Please keep in mind there are no shelters available in Franklin County
