TYNDALL UPGRADES HURCON STATUS

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – As Tropical Storm Isaac makes its

approach to the Florida Panhandle, Tyndall officials have upgraded the

HURCON status to HURCON level three. This is the alert phase indicating the

storm has become a potential threat to Tyndall.

A final decision concerning base personnel and aircraft evacuation has not

been made at this time. The Tyndall Public Affairs Office will continue to update

the 325th Fighter Wing Facebook page and the Tyndall Air Force Base website

as HURCON levels and instructions change.
