TYNDALL UPGRADES HURCON STATUS
TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – As Tropical Storm Isaac makes its
approach to the Florida Panhandle, Tyndall officials have upgraded the
HURCON status to HURCON level four. This is the alert phase indicating the
storm has become a potential threat to Tyndall, where surface winds in excess of
58 miles per hour could arrive within 96 hours.
There has been no decision concerning aircraft or base personnel evacuation
at this time. The Tyndall Public Affairs Office will continue to update the 325th
Fighter Wing Facebook page and the Tyndall Air Force Base website as
HURCON levels and instructions change.
