No swimming advisories this weekend

There are no swimming advisories in Franklin County this weekend.

The waters also tested clean in Wakulla County.

The Florida Department of Health tested water quality at 5 Franklin County beaches on October the 22nd and while they did find elevated concentrations of bacteria at the beaches at 11th street west on St. George Island and at Shell Point in Wakulla County, the concentrations were not high enough to require an advisory.

The state currently takes weekly or bi-weekly water samples from 304 beaches in 34 counties – you can see results for all beaches in Florida on-line at the Florida Department of Health Clean beaches website.

We’ve posted the local results on the news page at oysterradio.com.
