Red Cross releases wildfire app

The American red Cross has just released an app for live in or visit wildfire prone areas.
The Wildfire App is available for iPhone and Android platforms.
The free App can be customized for alerts specific to locations where people live, travel or have loved ones.
It lets users see areas where NOAA has issued warnings that conditions are favorable for potential wildfires, informs users when a wildfire has begun within 100 miles of any locations monitored; and even provides users with a current view of an existing wildfire’s perimeter, how it has spread and the fire’s current location when available;
The app even provides comprehensive reporting of all wildfire activity for every geographic area in the United States, a One touch “I’m safe” messaging option that allows users to tell family and friends via social media that they are out of harm’s way, and the Locations of open Red Cross shelters.
The Wildfire App can be found in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for Android by searching for American Red Cross.
