Wakulla County deputies arrest Manatee County murder suspect


A 21-year-old Bradenton man wanted for murder in Manatee County was arrested by Wakulla County Sheriff’s Officers early Sunday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kwame Jaquavius Henri just after midnight Sunday after a traffic pursuit that ended a short distance into Leon County.
The chase started after deputies were alerted about a vehicle driving at excessive speeds northbound in the southbound lane on Woodville Highway.
Once deputies had the vehicle stopped they smelled the odor of marijuana and observed the driver to be unsteady on his feet while attempting to get out of the vehicle.
Marijuana and an Oxycodone pill were discovered inside the vehicle.
At the prison deputies discovered that Henri was wanted on an outstanding murder warrant in Manatee County with a no bond order.
He is also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, attempting to tamper with a witness and possession of cannabis in Manatee County.
Henri now faces additional charges in Wakulla County including DUI, fleeing and attempting to elude, possession of a controlled substance and smuggling contraband into a detention facility.
