Franklin County Commission to meet Tuesday morning

The Franklin county commission will consider a new rule on Tuesday to drinking and loitering at the eastpoint pavilion.

The board will hold a public hearing on an ordinance that would ban the consumption of alcohol or loitering at the pavilion in a move to make the pavilion area more family friendly.

The ordinance is being spearheaded by district one county commissioner Pinki Jackel who has been working to make the pavilion area a site for more activities in the Eastpoint area.

The county on Tuesday will also present a resolution of appreciation to Doris Pendleton for her years of work as the county’s property appraiser and they’ll get an update from Marcia Linderman on activities at the local health department.

County commission meetings are open to the public – if you would like to attend Tuesday’s meeting it will begin at 9 o’clock at the courthouse annex in Apalachicola.
