More facts released in local murder case

More information in the murder of 68 year old Cynthia Greene has been released.

Mrs. Greene’s body was found on December 12th about 10 miles west of Apalachicola just off State Road 30-A.

Mrs. Greene’s daughter, 46 year old Sandra Anne Loudermilk-Conkel, was arrested on December 15th in the case.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department incident report, Mrs. Greene was shot once in

 the back of the head and then stabbed over 60 times.

The Sheriff’s Department said that Sandra admitted during a video interview that she and her mother had gone to 10 mile road where they got into a heated argument.

During the argument, Sandra took Mrs. Greene’s 25 caliber pistol and shot her once and then began to stab her mother with a folded lock blade knife.

She said she blacked out and did not know how many times she stabbed her mother.

Afterward she dragged her mother’s body over a ledge at the end of 10 mile road and covered it with debris.

Sandra Anne Loudermilk-Conkel has been charged with 1st degree murder in the case.

The Office of the State Attorney, 2nd Judicial Circuit will prosecute the case.
