Miss Linderman also serves as director of the Health
department in Gulf County ;
she has been working as interim director in Franklin
County for the past 7 months.
Because of state budget cuts to the public health system,
it’s becoming more common for health departments in neighboring counties to
share leadership.
The Franklin
county health department has been without a permanent director for over a year
and a half.
Commissioners said they think Mrs Linderman has done a good
job while she has served as interim director and they have received no
complaints from the public.
The board agreed Tuesday to send an official request to the
State Department of Health to make her permanent director.
