The
celebration officially opens at 4 this afternoon, but Apalachicola businesses are open all
day with great Christmas specials.
Beginning
at 4, Apalachicola will celebrate Christmas with the arrival of Santa Claus at
the city docks on Water Street .
He’ll
be brought in on a shrimp boat
and spend the evening listening to children’s Christmas wishes.
There
will also be carolers and luminaries throughout downtown today.
The annual Christmas celebration will end at 8 PM , though some businesses could remain
open past that.
And
while you are in Apalachicola today make sure to stop by the Orman House Historic State Park
The Orman house is open to
the public and decorated for a traditional Apalachicola Christmas.
It will also stay open late
for tours.
