Carrabelle seeks state money to preserve City Hall

The Carrabelle City Commission is applying for state funding to preserve the Marvin N. Justiss Carrabelle City Hall.

The Old City Hall currently houses the Carrabelle History Museum; city offices have moved into the old Carrabelle High School.

The commission voted last week to apply for a Historic Preservation Small Matching Grant during the 2016 grant cycle to fund phase 3 of the City Hall preservation.

If the grant is approved the city would have to provide an in-kind match of 1500 dollars, which the city also agreed to.
