Phase One of Carrabelle Multi-Use Path now complete

Work is now complete on the new multi-use path connecting Carrabelle beach to the Carrabelle lighthouse.

Work began on the path last November.

County Director of Administrative Services Alan Pierce said the work is now complete and residents in the area are already using it - the path allows people to safely walk or bike between the beach and the lighthouse.

The work was done by North Florida Construction – the project cost just over 300 thousand dollars.

Alan Pierce said the county would schedule a ribbon cutting for the new path sometime in July.
