Oyster Recovery team to hold "Listening session" on Wednesday

The University of Florida Oyster Recovery Team will hold a community listening session on October the 1st to discuss the most recent crisis of the Oyster Industry in Apalachicola Bay.
The Oyster Recovery Team was created in 2013 to bring together experts from the University of Florida and the rankling county Community to find ways of restoring sustainable populations of Apalachicola bay oysters.
The meeting will address rumors issues that are of concern to the Oyster Industry and community due to the current crisis facing Apalachicola Bay and the local Oyster Industry.
The meeting will let researchers discuss the current status of the oyster population, based on the most recent data.
It will also give members of the seafood industry a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and offer ideas about the management and restoration of the Apalachicola Bay oyster population.
The meeting is open to the public and has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 1st at 2 PM at the Apalachicola Community Center at Battery Park.
