Early voting starts today

            Early voting for the November 4th general election start today.     

Early voting is being held October the 20th through November the 1st.

There are some important local issues on the ballot.

Local voters will decide whether to change the Superintendent of Schools from an elected position to a hired position.

They will also decide whether to double the local tourist development tax.

District 2 voters will also select a county commissioner – that race is between incumbent Cheryl Sanders and Mark Nobles.

There are also some important district and statewide elections including a congressional race between Gwen Graham and Steve Southerland.

Voters will also choose a governor and the state’s attorney general, chief financial officer and commissioner of Agriculture.

Early voting is easy to do – you can even voter on weekends.

You can early vote at the Franklin County Supervisor of Elections Office at 47 Ave F in Apalachicola or at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex on Highway 98 in Carrabelle.


Early voting hours are 8:30 to 4:30.
