27 arrested in major Franklin County drug sweep

On March 12, 2015 The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Sheriff Deputies, and the Apalachicola Police Department executed several more arrest warrants in Franklin County.  There were a total of 27 individuals arrested on drug related charges.  Most of the charges were for Sale of Controlled Substances including Methamphetamine and Prescription Medications. Found with the narcotics, a handgun, a rifle, and cash were also seized. These arrests come after extensive investigations by the Franklin County Narcotics Unit, along with the help from road Deputies and other agencies. So far, these investigations have resulted in a total of 46 arrests between the dates of March 6 – March 12, 2015. Other arrests are pending.
