Area 1622 of the Apalachicola Bay to reopen to oyster harvesting on Wednesday

            The Department of Agriculture will reopen area 1622 to Oyster harvesting at sunrise Wednesday.

1622 is the Conditionally Approved Winter West Shellfish Harvest Area.

The area was closed last week because of high river levels.

Water samples taken from the area show the area is safe for oyster harvesting.

Area 1612 remains closed at this time.
