County approves rezoning for Ho-Hum RV Park

The Franklin County Commission last week approved the rezoning of the Ho-Hum RV Park East of Carrabelle from C-4, which is mixed use residential and commercial to C-3 which is Commercial recreational.
The property has been used as an RV park for years and the use will not change.
Commissioners took the step to fix a mistake that was made years ago where a portion of the property was zoned C-3 and a few parcels were left C-4.
The county felt it was a scrivener’s error but couldn’t find the documentation to back that up so they had to go through the full rezoning process again.

The move was recommended unanimously by the Planning and zoning board and there was no opposition from neighboring landowners.
