County
Commissioners have agreed to keep their current engineering consultants for the
Apalachicola airport.
The Service is currently provided
by a company called AVCON out of Niceville.
The board recently sought qualifications
from companies to provide engineering consulting services; the county is
required by the Federal Aviation Administration to re-bid consulting services
at the airport every 5-7 years.
A committee was formed to look
over the qualifications and it recommended that the county stick with its
current provider.
The county agreed to begin negations
with AVCON for its new contract.
