County cuts membership of Airport Advisory Committee

Franklin county commissioners last week cut the number of members on its Airport Advisory Committee.

Last week the county commission agreed to trim the membership of the committee from 9 members to 7.

The board took the action to make it easier for the committee to have a quorum.

County coordinator Michael Moron said that two of the members haven’t made a meeting in years – one not since 2011.

The Airport Advisory committee helps the county oversee activities at the Airport in Apalachicola; it provides recommendations and advice on contracts and work programs at the airport.
