Senator Montford named "Legislator of the Year" by Florida Forestry Association

Senator Bill Montford has been given the “Legislator of the Year Award” from the Florida Forestry Association.

Senator Montford represents eleven counties in North Florida including Franklin and Gulf counties and serves as the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.

 He was recognized at the annual Florida Forestry Association’s Conference.

The Association presented him the Award for his service and commitment to foresters throughout the Legislative Session.

The Forestry Association called Senator Montford a true champion for forestry throughout his legislative tenure because he understands the importance of Florida’s working forests to the state’s economy and the environment.

Seantor Montford said Foresters make great contributions to Florida and he is proud to work with them to better the future of forest farms.
