The Franklin County Commission will hold its final public budget hearing today.
The 44.1 million dollar budget received preliminary approval at a budget hearing earlier this month – if it gets final approval today it will go into effect on October the 1st.
The portion of the budget that will be paid by local taxpayers is a little over 10.6 million dollars – that’s about the same as last year.
The public budget hearing will be held this afternoon at 5:15 – it will be held at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
